Artistic Young Minds for Hire is a nonprofit organization located in Lake County, Illinois. The focus of this nonprofit is using arts education, life skills, and business education to enrich the lives of foster and underprivileged youth who don't have a support system in place to help further their artistic endeavors.
Goals of AYM for Hire:
1. Developing creativity in our youth
2. Providing life skills, mental health support, and business education as it pertains to the entertainment industry
3. Encouraging program members to further their arts education, if desired
4. Teaching program members which career paths make use of their respective art forms, to give them multiple career path options
5. Help to reduce crime, since their minds will be preoccupied with making their creative dreams a reality
6. Expose program members to collaborative environments such as the local film production studio lots in Chicago, Illinois.
7. Partnering with local film studios, film commissions, and other local art communities and nonprofits to help enrich the lives of our program members
8. Provide support system for our program participants (such as rides to auditions)
9. Helping to improve the quality of life for our program participants
10. Stimulating the arts sector in Illinois
How You Can Help
Our nonprofit organization operates off of grants and donations. Every little bit counts. Even if you're not capable of donating funds, information such as grants you know of, office furniture being given away, potential guest speakers for our program participants, or any other recommendations are just as valuable to us.
